**Welcome to Snake.finance, an algorithmic token pegged to $S on the Sonic network; functioning as a yield optimizer.**

{% hint style="info" %}
Please NOTE: While Bonds are available via the contract, We HIGHLY discourage them. \
\
While this is subject to change the reason is not accure bad debt for the protocol or have users trapped in assets.
{% endhint %}

#### Overview

The $SNAKE token serves as the foundation of a growing ecosystem within the Sonic network. Its primary objective is to maintain a stable peg to $S and expand the utility of the Sonic network’s native assets.

The protocol dynamically adjusts the supply of $SNAKE based on market conditions, helping to keep its price in line with $S while offering exciting opportunities for users and the community.

The protocol follows a multi-token model inspired by previous algorithmic stablecoin systems and consists of the following tokens:

* [**Snake Finance Tokens:**](/snake-finance-docs/protocol/tokens.md)
 * **Snake ($SNAKE)**
 * **Snake Shares ($gSNAKE)**

We are highly optimistic about **Shadow** and have designed $SNAKE to enhance its utility within the **Sonic** ecosystem.
