**What are Sonic Gems?**\
Sonic Gems are airdrop points exclusively designed for apps. Each season, a fixed supply of Gems is allocated to apps based on performance metrics\
\
Apps can be tracked their progress through [Sonics' points dashboard](https://my.soniclabs.com/points)

### **Snake’s Integration in Season 1:**

* Snake users accumulate Gems by interacting with whitelisted asset pools within Forest Farms and other ecosystem contracts

{% hint style="success" %}
In Season 1, Snake allocated **ALL Gems to Nest stakers**—proportionally, based on stake size and time.
{% endhint %}

### **Season 2 Update:**

* Gem rewards will now **track protocol revenue** instead of just TVL
* This ensures more sustainable, yield-aligned incentives for real usage

**Future Utility:**

* Potential for governance influence, exclusive features, or conversion into future token perks & user rewards
